Chicken Wings in Honey Sauce

Whole chicken wings, seasoned with salt and pepper, broiled, transferred to a crockpot for 4-5 hours, and served with a tangy honey sauce poured over top. Chicken wings in honey sauce are a great appetizer, perfect for parties and work very well as an entree.
Ingredients -
 
3 pounds Whole Chicken Wings, cut at joint, tips removed and discarded
Salt and Fresh Ground Black Pepper, to taste
1 cup Reduced-Sodium Soy Sauce
2 cups Honey
1/2 cup Ketchup
1 clove Garlic, minced
1/4 cup Oil
Sesame Seeds, optional
 
Preparation:
 
1. Spread wings evenly on broiler pan.

2. Broil 4-5” from broiler 10 minutes. Flip wings. Broil another 10 minutes, until chicken wings are golden brown.

3. Transfer wings to crockpot.

4. Combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, garlic and oil in bowl.

5. Pour sauce over wings.

6. Cook on low 4-5 hours.

7. Garnish with sesame seeds.

You can purchase chicken wings pre-cut into separate pieces. Cutting wings takes a bit of practice but once you get the hang of it, the method saves money.

Cutting Chicken Wings
Spread wings a bit and move knife to first joint. Slice chicken wings gently between bones. Repeat this process and remove the wing tips.
